What size fins do you use on 8' FunBoard

Postby xriddx » Thu Jul 15, 2010 7:24 am

Hi I'm 175 lbs I have an 8 ft fun board. I was wondering if I should get longboard or shortboard fins for it. I have seen the 2+1 longboard fins with 7-9" center fins and 4" side fins. Then I've seen shortboard fins (4.5 inches)

Question is which should I go for since I'm pretty much beginner been surfing about 1-3 times a year for 6 years.

I'm looking for fins that will give me some descent thrust foward, but also plenty of stability and ride since I'm beginner... does that make sense?

I'm in Los Angeles, can catch small waves nothing big yet. But I plan on growing

Any advice will be appreciated!

very lucky, if U live in L.A., I stay in Sanremo, Italy :-(

My opinion is OK an FCS M7 for your weight, if your ride good waves of far swell both good skill

an 8 inches single fin for other situation (board more steady)
