I am searching my 1st surf trip

Postby stutenberg » Mon Sep 14, 2009 1:22 pm

Hi

I am living in Brussels Belgium and I was always dreaming of surfing at a wonderful place with nice people.
Finally I can effort to do a small holiday of 2 weeks in some remote place.

Now I need to find out how I can get this started. I would be travelling alone and I don't have any surf- nor extensive travel experience. I have been a couple of times in Oaxaca but never on my own.

So I need to find a company which brings me to the spot and a school which provides equipment and lessons.
All this should of course happen within an environment which is as natural as possible.

Since I am living in Brussels I'd prefer some place really warm and sunny.

Soooo, as you see I am totally clueless of how to do this and I hope that you'll have some sort of tips or advices for me.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Andre

Good luck with the travel plans, I can't it recommend enough if you get the opportunity, it'll open your eyes to the world and shape your perception for the the rest of your life.
As far as where, when and how much? It depends on your circumstances, style and budget.
At << this website which has been removed >> I try to offer a unique perspective on surf travel, giving my personal experience from the countries I've visited, and maybe there will be something in there that tickles your fancy. There's heaps of photos and the odd movie to wet your appetite, plus some useful travel tips and advice. I hope you find something useful.
Good luck out there, you'll have a blast.

Hi Andre, there's direct flights from brussels to the North coast of the DR.
When are you thinking about taking your trip?

We have good waves for beginners - intermediates from May to September, the other months it can be bigger so also more fun for intermediate surfers.

have fun wherever you are going to go..

Salut
