A very important surfing equipment choice - The Wetsuit

Especially if you are spending your winter surfing in Wales :D

I would say that it is not so much about the brand, more what fits you best. Modern wetsuits are really really good, and the top brands are all well built and reliable. It's all about fit. If you get the best, most expensive suit you can and it does not fit then you have waisted your money.
My advice - try as many wetsuits and different wetsuit brands as you can until you find one that is ideal. If you have been saving you may even consider a custom made wetsuit. I bought a winter 5/3 suit from Snugg a few years back and it was the best money I have paid for any item of surf gear. I got a good deal through a friend's shop, and it worked out pretty resonably priced.

I used to have a couple ripcurl suits but recently bought an oneil epic 5/4/3. It's incredibly warm, good seals, and will last a few seasons. I totally recomend it.
