do you have to pass some sort of initiation test before being acknowledged on here, :?: its the most ignorant site ive come across. :shock:

thanks people, work has been keeping me out of the water :cry: just looking for some surf entertainment. but am now free to surf for a few weeks, then the nights will have drawn out enough to catch a few waves after work :party:

16 years surfing, live in Gwithian, Cornwall, 5 mins to the waves, get changed in a hot shower after surf :thumbs: have traveled all over the planet, surfing saved my life, am now 45 years and have always ridden short boards. i wish you all many fine empty waves :dunk:

in my top 10 spots in the uk to surf is Gwithian spent many happy weekends on the little camp site by the pub good food too

sorry to hear that Essex, you dont live near any waves then? :cry: its ok not having money if you are next to a surf break. i plonked myself here years ago, now if i have no money and my vehicle breaks down, its ok. i hope some cash finds its way to you soon :surfing:

will be setting my self up in north devon in the furtue have to put up with be a 100 miles + away from surf til then lol but its all good

Captain,

I spent christmas down at Hale with my mum. Went out at Gwithian with my son a couple of times. (we're both noobs) Got ourselves some boards for christmas. Both really enjoyed it down there. Hopefully going down there again soon. Waves are CR"" round here.

glad you enjoyed it down here Simon, mutual appreciation, i have been to Swanage, had a great trip, but alas, as you say, not a great surf spot. good to be by the ocean though, lots of ways to be involved with the sea, (i try many). :thumbs:
