2nd hand worth it?

Postby Beachbum » Fri Jan 29, 2010 4:05 am

Is this a good board for $70? I'm going to try and bargain it down to $60, and he told me that it hasn't been snapped, but there a couple of minor dings that have been repaired. I don't really enjoy the paint job on the bottom of the board, but o well. It's a 6'2", and I normally surf a beat up 5'10", but I want to surf a larger board to improve my turns. He says it isn't water logged, but I'm not sure how boards yellow myself. Is it from water getting into the dings, or the sun, or a combination of both?

Graphics look mighty fine to me :D : Haven't seen anything like that before !

Yellowing means the board is old and the UV’s have done the deed but does not mean the board is wrecked at all.

Just ensure none of the board is ‘spongy’ when you push on it – delamination can be a bit nasty to sort – let us know so we can help you more if needs be :P .
