Postby DreadSurf » Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:05 am

Aloha

stuck in Asia, I want now to go surfing one or two weeks, preferably in a surf camp. What is the best choice Swell/Wave wise?

Sri Lanka (read about some nice surfcamp in the south, open until mid-Jan)

Bali

Phillipines

???

Any recommendations, insights??

thanks a lot

Bali has a lot of surf camps, beaches and waves are good all year around. If one beach has bad swells, just go the next one :D

Siargao Island in the Philippines lures you with its world-class waves yet captivates you with its tranquility among the coconut trees, its white sandy shores to which cannot hold a candle, its unsung surf spots and its beautiful people. Siargao is like describing a perfect wave. Every surfer knows it does exist and finding it surpasses the quest for the Holy Grail. The best known surfing break with a world reputation of being in the top Surfing Waves in the world, is nick-named "Cloud Nine". But there are literally scores of breaks down this coast, and everytime a surfing expedition is mounted in the area, more new breaks are being discovered.:D
