Any NJ Surfers?

Any surfers in New Jersey that know some good spots for a beginner? I have a bunch of friends that "surf" (more like they own surfboards but go once every two years) and I have been begging them to take me out sometime and show me the ropes but it never happens. I live in Ocean County and would definitely like to know some good spots to hit up or if any exeperienced people want to help a n00b then that would be awesome too. Thanks!
