Surfing Ericeira, Portugal

Hi,

I'm visiting Ericeira in late September for a family holiday but plan on fitting in a few surf sessions.

I'm just after a bit of advice on which breaks to pick. I can surf but don't consider myself a surfer ( I don't live for it.) I fancy having a go at Ribeira d'Ilhas as the place we are staying is close by. Is that within the realms of the ability of someone who surfs infrequently or should I stick to the beach breaks.
