Hawaii

Postby Hapabalapx » Sun Mar 06, 2005 7:44 am

I'm going to Hawaii with some friends, but most of them are big wave surfers that plan to surf North Shore, whereas me and one other friend have longboards and aren't as experienced as the others, so what I want to know is if anyone knows any places not far from North Shore that have a nice calm wave that I can ride.

Theres a place called Chuns Reef on the North Shore. More beginners with longboards go there I THINK. Today I saw the surf report said 22-30 ft. Thats good for your friends. Waimea Bay is good for them but super spooky if u dont know what ur doing. Also try Sunset Beach for the big waves. Haleiwa has some smaller waves I think. Of course your friends need to get to Pipeline. Parking there is the only problem I think. If you dont mind driving, the south shore has good longboarding at Diamond Head and Ala Moana when its bigger. Aloha!
