How do you snap off the lip?

oI know i post alot of topics, but that search is just terrible.Ignores my snap

Anyway i'm having no problem going up and down the wave, but i'm not sure how to snap. Thats when you do a really quick watah! and spray a bunch of water on the top of the wave. like this:




i know how to get up but i dont know how to make tons of spray or to snap i guess, i kinda just flow down lol.

Any tips? i'm strong enough to do it for sure i can squat like 300lbs but how do you do it? How should the arms motion? project? ect.

It's a fairly easy move because it's mainly just swinging your shoulders around and that automatically initiates the rest. I don't really notice the spray that much when I do snaps. It's more something you notice as a spectator from behind the wave or when you see a photo of yourself. You're usually too busy lining up your next move to notice, as your eyes aren't pointing in the direction of the spray.

I just rotate my arms downwards when I'm at the lip. I'm still getting used to it, but it's really fun. Hitting the lip is my favorite move to do on a wave, that is, until I actually get a stand up barrel
