Me too bro, i had a rip scare a couple of years ago on a tiny little bodyboard where i got sucked out about 200m but was JUST able to make it to the last rock before i was gonners, and that has hindered my confidence in the lineup at certain spots ever since i started surfing about a year ago. I still start to panic when i think i am getting sucked out due to the ebb and flow of the waves/tide (when in reality there is nothing to worry about and its just in my head)

But anyways its gonna take time bro until you start to get used to it and feel confident in your abilities. Just percivere bro and maybe learn some relaxation techniques that you can do while out on your board to calm yourself down.

Could it be sea sickness, from the waves and swell while you sitting out there? There are pills and xxxxx to help prevent that

you are too excited or other reason causing you not to get enough oxygen into the body?

I still remember the very first time when I tried to surf, I was so dizzy I was gonna throw up, because my body still not feeling 100% after recoerving from a cold.

I get real bad sea sickness and sometime I get nausea but not too bad. If u get it bad take "Stugeron" - think that's what its called. I never have probs on boats no matter how choppy it gets - one of my all time best finds are those tablets. HTH.

I look at it like handling butterflies...I am so giddy, excited, nervous and stoked and added to that I know if the breaks are good it's better than both sex and good food..so just run with it and be happy you're not the poor xxxxx in Alabama that has to settle for 1 foot waves!
