Shortboard to Egg

hi

i mainly ride my 6"8 shortboard with a thruster set-up. i like the single fin egg surfboards and am thinking of buying one, possibly 6"6. i want a bit of a change in style of surfing. would there be much difference in riding an egg?

an egg will prob be wider especially through the tail, its more of a retro shape so you wont be able to surf it like a regualr shortboard i.e top to bottom doing turns, you will be able to do some turns on it but its more of a shape which encourages a smooth, flowing "cruzy" style, hope this helps
