Isn't scotland full of one armed people who shoot up tamazepam? :D

Anyway Bob/Pol - it's snowing here again, kids got chucked out of school early, wife tried to fit snow chains to get home, but gave up, blaming men for the stupid design, and just bumped into a mate who drives a groomer, he reckoned he was getting a bow wave over the windscreen up at Coronet this afternoon :D

You can get two for one flight deals at the moment, might be worth a winter visit for you both to NZ to see how truly ugly some of the women are.

You know flights seem to be cheaper everywhere just now! I've had invites from friends in Houston, California, Perth, Melbourne and someone was suggesting I go to NZ on Sunday, all telling me how cheap it will be. It's just a shame that this year I decided to get a mortgage and can't go anywhere.

I'd be best waiting until my Kiwi mates move back to NZ and then I can visit them. By that time I might have some cash and my prosthetic arm will be fitted.

Mt Hutt opened today, my local hill, Coronet opens next weekend, looking pretty good already, there's another storm started kicking off tonight, just starting to snow, and should put another 20cm down.

Coronet had the snowmaking system cranked up this afternoon as well. 7 days to go to get a ride on a lift instead of walking up to the top :D

Bugger.....2 hours into the 2009 ski season, my 9yo daughter tried to do a jump.....and broke her arm.

I'm in heaps of trouble with the wife for leaving her in the mini park with her mates, while I headed off for a few turns. :?

The snow is mint though, just got to get her out of the A & E place, stick her in front of the TV, and get back up there.

Aw that's rubbish news mate! I hope it doesn't put her off trying jumps when she gets better! (What am I talking about, she's 9, of course it wont)

I kinda blame myself. I've been sending so much bad vibes down there towards you and RDJ that some of it is bound to miss or ricochet off and hit those around you. Sorry about that.

lol I don't think it's the negative vibes, more like over enthusiasm at having a shiny new Burton setup and not having to walk up the mountain.

She's pretty stoked, now sporting a nice pink waterproof cast, and has figured out that she can get one of her mum's gloves over it, so should be back on her horse next weekend.

Sucks to hear she ate it bad on the first day out, but man sounds like she has the mentality and personality to be a shredder in her life. I'll watch out for her name next X-Games

I got up for the early one this morning, first on the lift :D

This is the Remarkables, taken from Coronet Peak. Gotta love those inversion layers, everybody in town thinks it will be shite up the in the mountains, but I drove through the cloud at about 1000 metres up, and got a great view

Quick report for those who are missing the snow.....a month into the season, sitting at about 1 metre base, rock hard ice, being topped up with the man made stuff and a dusting of natural snow every now and then, no huge dumpage yet, but it's early days.

Snowing at the moment, about a foot of wind drifted fresh last night, and some great powder stashes at the Remarkables this morning, but nasty weather and bugger all visibility, should be great when the storm clears tho.

Here's a couple of pics I took this morning, first taken from the Remarkables, second is Coronet Peak, under the cloud somewhere.

Loving my new Bataleon Evil Twin too, not so flash in powder, but great fun for everything else.

I'm having serious withdrawal issues this summer. My friend just got back from the glacier at Les Deux Alpes last weekend. She quit the skiing and took up boarding and had a great time. Standing in the full on hot Aberdonian summer she was asking when I'd take her boarding.......
Anyhoo, only a few weeks until the Australian/European Premier of of this years snow video!!!

I'm not sure where we're going. I think due to the massive success we had with Swiss girls last year that we may visit there again (one of the girls is actually about to go out to Oz to visit my mate). Hopefully it'll be a week in Switzerland, followed by a week in France.

I think it'll be the end Jan to start feb again. I'll keep you posted!
