picking my first longboard

Postby codyguy » Fri Jun 12, 2009 7:16 pm

i started off longboarding a couple of years ago, but i decided to go with a shortboard after i learned. lately i've been having load of fun borrowing some longboards from my friends. i'm looking to buy one with my grad money (about $350). i'm 6'2", 160 lbs, and i want something that i can knee paddle on and noseride once i get better. i'd usually be surfing at bolsa. most shops i've been going to don't have much of a selection on used logs. if anybody can recommend a good shop or somebbody willing to shape a board for super cheap, that would be awesome.
does this board seem quality? http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/spo/1218174309.html

Looks a nice board but IMO too small for you to knee paddle and noseride etc. I think you want something bigger.
