Tanker surfing GAL. TEXAS!!!!!!

8) hey i am very interested in tanker surfing and i really want to go!! i was wondering if people charter boats out into the gulf for people to tanker surf.. if anyone know any info about that i really would like to know! thanks!! SuRfS uP!! :roll: :wink:

u better like being a long ways out in the ocean with all kinds of fish that would like to take a bite outta u. but its really fun, jus go to the marina and see if anyone will charter a boat i guess. see ya

Whats tanker surfing..?! is that surfing behind a tankers wake or something??? sounds kinda scary lol

Watch Step Into Liquid. There is a section about a group of chaps that surf the wake created by the supertankers.

Apparently they do a similar thing with cross-channel ferries near the isle of wight. At this windsurfing school (which is totally sheltered from groundswell), when the guys see the ferry disappearing around the headland, they remove the sails and paddle out to catch the wake that the boat leaves behind.
