Getting a surfboard to/from the airport

Hi,

I'm off to Ericeira in Portugal for a week in september (flying to Lisbon). I would like to take my own board but am a bit unsure about how easy it'll be to get it to and from the airport. We're not renting a car so I think the only options are gonna be a bus or taxi. My board is 6'7". I also have a 7'6" board which I wasn't going to take but my friend now wants to borrow (she's meeting us there and wants me to take it for her!). Could I fit two boards in a taxi (along with some people)?

If anyone has done this or something similar before and could share any experience/advice I would be very grateful!

it basically wraps around the roof of any car and allows you to transport up to around 6 boards on the roof. stows nicely in a suitcase too
You need to check with the airline to make sure they will allow you to take 2 boards on the plane... if they say only 1 board, then get a bag that holds two boards and ure sorted
