FCS Fins

What's up everyone, I am looking into getting some new fins and am interested in opinions on the material used in certain FCS fins. I have been to the site and read the marketing b.s. but I'm looking for some feedback from users. (and as much as I would probably prefer Futures I am not going to retro fit this board.

Ultra Light Epoxy -

If anyone has used the different materials and has the knowledge to distinguish between the different properties of each it would be hella cool if you could drop some knowledge on the subject for me.

I dig the ultra light epoxy because, well, they are very light. You'd be suprised what a difference half a pount of fin weight on the back of you board makes. The k3's are also the same matterial, as are a couple of the other newer versions.

Is there a real noticeable difference going from glass flex to one of the better materials. Also do you think the FG-7 would be too big of a fin and cause drag.

Glass flex is just that, flexible, the tip bens (not alot) when you turn, , easier turning radius and it gives a little so not as sharp a turn either, but only slightly, it takes out some of squirleyness of the board a bit for begginer or intermediate surfers. Stiffer fins turn sharper, but can be squirlier, but another advantage is that they hold up better too.
On my gun I replaced the M7's with a set of Occy fins, they are only slightly smaller but are much narrower fo more glide, and on my semigun I replaced the M7's have fiberglass size 5 fins, both times to eliminate drag and make it easier to get into waves.

However, I haven't tried the FG7's, just the M7's, which I did not like. The bigger size is better for big/huge walls, holds up better, at the expence of a little glide, but for normal surfing size 7 might be too big, unless you weigh 220lbs then you need the surface to hold up your arse.
