Postby Young blood » Thu May 21, 2009 12:12 am

Hey guys im just having trouble on deciding which days to use my different boards
I wanna know what type of wave suits my boards, so that i can get the max surfing experience i can out of a session...i mean..isnt that what we all want :)?

I currently have

Rusty project
L 6'1
W 18.25
T 2.06
Rounded pin

John Carper Nx-1
L 6'2
W 18.5
T 2.2
Squash

Could you guys let me know which would be better in what type of conditions?
It would be a great help, thanks. oh and both my boards are in the 6'0 + cause im about 6'1 and i like them bigger XD

Squash tails have a slightly bigger tail outline, which means more volume, plus it's longer and thicker than your thumb tail, so will paddle easier. The smaller board will be eaiser to kick around for fun slides and cutbacks, also easier to duckdive.

So, I say the squash for small surf, mushy waves (even big ones) and overhead+ surf, the thumb for chest to head/overhead waves, dredging waves and walled up waves and for easier duckdiving situations.
