how long for custom board?

Postby syeite » Sun May 17, 2009 10:09 pm

hey, just a quick question im looking to buy my first custom board and ditch the pop out boards. i was just wondering how long does it usually take for the shaper to make your board? as i only usually manage to get down to surf for a week at a time as i need to save up the money and get off work ( im only 18 )
basically just wondering if i should ring up and get the shaper to help me choose what i want over the phone or, go into the shop and talk to them properly.

thanks!

just call a shaper and ask. last board i got shaped, he told me 3 weeks, but i got it in 2. it depends on what other projects they have going on, how busy their glasser is, artwork, etc. they'll give you an approximate finish time

the longest i have ever had to wait was 4 weeks the shortest 7 days :D it really depends how busy the shaper is and how busy the glasser is or if you getting some whacky artwork how busy the airbrusher is as well
