I'm creating t-shirt packaging for a clothing brand as part of my a-level exam work and i was wondering if any of u guys and girls wud help me out and answer a few questions for me


1. The product I am designing is a wrap which can be used to wrap up towels, t-shirts and many other items that help you carry all of your belongings around with you. What do you think would be the best material for you to carry, store and handle while you are on the beach?

2. Say if you were to buy clothes from a surf-wear brand, what colour themes would you find most appealing for the product and packaging?

3. What do you prefer to see on clothing; plain and simple, or complex patterns and images?

4. Following the previous question; is there any particular print or pattern which would interest you if it was printed onto either a t-shirt itself or the packaging?

5. What colours, styles and patterns seem to be the most popular from the area you live in and your regular surf spot?

I am confused. You want to create something to carry towels and clothes to and from the beach? The invented beach bags, athletic bags, backpacks etc. that already work well for that. Been working fine for me anyway for as long as I can remember with no complaints.


Anyway to answer some of your questions regarding fashion, styles, colors etc. It seems to me that 80's neon colors seems to be coming back in style...just looking at the board shorts styles/colors I noticed at a surf shop a week or 2 ago (in Maryland, USA)

What I am trying to create is packaging for tee-shirts, the idea is for the clothing brand to sell their tee's inside these wraps but they also can double up as travel wraps so you can carry other items such as towels and other belongings around with you, sorry if i didn't make this clear in my post.

2. Say if you were to buy clothes from a surf-wear brand, what colour themes would you find most appealing for the product and packaging? any bright colors in stripes, just nothing that looks like a bath towel

3. What do you prefer to see on clothing; plain and simple, or complex patterns and images? simple colors, I dig images, nothing where you have to stare for 5 minutes to figure it out

4. Following the previous question; is there any particular print or pattern which would interest you if it was printed onto either a t-shirt itself or the packaging? surfing pics, OP used to have a bunch of tshirts with surfers on it, now a days no one does that any more

5. What colours, styles and patterns seem to be the most popular from the area you live in and your regular surf spot? anything that is not target or wallmart looking

comment about materials: I like these new synthetics that are fairly thin and dry rapidly. Rash guards are made out of it, too. Following on with the terry cloth suggestion, I'd use synthetic microfiber terricloth. They have high drying capacity, dry quickly, and wash well.
