wetsuit advice

Postby xebex » Fri Apr 17, 2009 1:10 pm

Hi,

I"m going for my first surf in 6 years at the end of May, unfortunately i sold my 5/3 wetsuit, i'm looking at a body glove one that is 3/2 but have been advised it won't be warm enough for May surfing in Devon.

Also i find it really hard to swim in a 5/3 wetsuit, is this normal?

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks :)

just started wearing a summer suit in wales now and feel comfy for 2 hour sessions easily with boots on. should be ok, when you planning on using it until? may be advisable to get a 5/3 for year round surfing

Whats the water temp in Devon in May?

Boots definatly stretch out the 3/2 time.

Can always add a neoprene rashie under the 3/2 too.

I dont know what the water temp is in Devon in May but the boots are a good idea. Also, I recently purchased a Rip Curl F-Bomb which is kind of bulky but I am able to paddle well and it is really warm.
