Beginner Trip on the East Coast - Sept 09

Postby abisson » Sun Apr 05, 2009 7:06 pm

Hi everyone!

I am currently planning a trip that would take place around the first week of September. I was wondering if North Carolina or Florida ( cocoa beach ) was any good at that time for a beginner like me and my beginner/intermediate.

Thanks a lot for you advices and tips!

speaking for north cackilacka, fall is my favourite season here. water is still warm, air is still warm, tourists are pretty much all gone, hurricane swells (sometimes). since yall are beginners, it should be fine. for the most part it still summer conditions; small scale surf with offshore breezes. meaning easy for learning/longboarding. not sure what cocoa beach surf is like, but i imagine it's similar to the rest of the right coast, except warmer
