surf at porth beach (newquay)

hi im looking at staying down in newquay in the summer, iv found a campsite close to porth beach (in newquay bay) could anyone tell how consistantly it breaks and the quality (i know it will prob be 1-2ft mush in the summer anyway). in the pictures i have found of there looks to be a massive rock infront of the beach lol does this block all of the swell?

any help would be much appriciated

Hey dude, It could be banging, it could be as flat as a pancake.
I was down there a long time ago - OMG ! awsome overhead surf ! - blazing sun, really good for a week solid then boom - flat !

I hope the surf Gods smile on you when you go do down there as they did on me that time .
