Shapers in Dorset

Postby ElKapitanek » Fri Feb 27, 2009 2:13 pm

Hello guys,

I'm thinking of getting a new board (not sure whether 2nd hand or new yet) but would like to talk to a decent shaper round ere first. I live pretty close to Kbay so I'm guessing Bournemouth would be the most likely? Has anyone got any experience of a shaper or could recommed a place to check out for 2nd hand boards?

I'm looking for something to progress from a 7'4" minimal and having borrowed a mates 7'0" fish (?) think something like that might be the way to go... http://www.localhero.co.uk/surfboards.html - the rocket fish. I may be able to buy his but its getting a bit battered. Would this board last me a while? Can I surf bigger/hollower waves on it when I go to France? Is it even the right kind of board to progress to? I'm 5'10" and about 10.5 stone.

Cheers
