Buying boards on the Gold Coast

Postby Goofy Boy » Tue Jan 13, 2009 4:56 am

Im going to the Gold Coast some time later this year and Im after another board up there. Do they have any decent shortboards at a reasonanble price? Or I could get a custom board, who are the best shapers in that area?

check on ebay and gumtree first, you may find a lot of secondhand boards in good condition...

if you want brand new boards, depending on your experience, but i would go for a DHD board

I'm sure most surf shops @ gold coast will stock some DHD boards, afterall, the shaper is based in queensland...

I dont know about how much they sell AM up there, but some of my local surfshops sell AMs up to 1.4k, DHDs only goes for around 700, even though it about half of the price of AM, but DHDs are equally amazing fun boards to ride with...

here's the website for DHD

My local surf shop down in Tassie sells Al Merrick for 800 new. I just thought they would be some the same on the Gold Coast but cheaper. How much would they be second hand?
