What Fin ???????????

Postby lonechippy » Mon Jan 12, 2009 6:36 pm

Hi

Have a 9 ' 6" board currently with a 3 fin set up . Want to lose the thrusters now and go for a large single fin that will still give me good stability etc but make it as easy as possible to catch hold so I can start to be a bit more adventerous and start moving up the board . See many styles availiable such as squirrel fins etc but what should I get ? Many thanks , I stay in my comfort zone of 2- 3 ft if they makes a difference.

Hi, erm not sure if this is of any interest to you, but I have just advertised my longboard fin on ebay and here in the classifieds. I got it for my 7'6 Magic Carpet Board but I think it may be more suited for a longer board?
I'm sure the guys on here will advise you more about if it is suitable or not for you?
Cheers.

I ride between 7.25 and 8.25 inch cutaway fin:

Love this fin set up as a single...plenty of drive, but loose still, can drop the tail out sometimes if you are hanging ten. Great overall fin.
