And as much as I love pow, I don't think I would personally wanna learn on it. Ya know?

The fake stuff.

I learnt in Plymouth and then had a week in Italy last year. Since then I've had an afternoon in Milton Keynes snow dome and an evening in Plymouth.

So like I said, I really am a beginner. Sounds like the reason I picked it up so easily is cause I had a nice big board.

I'll use the adams apple/bottom lip thing when I go to Austria in Feb and see how I find it I guess.

On a personal note, I wasn't embarressed on that board I was just really fleshin' enjoying myself :)

St Johan in Tirol.

Its got a pretty nice setup for boarders which is cool. Down side is food/drink will be pricey and I have to go at half term cause the Mrs is a teacher so that puts the price up again :(

Soops, I had to go for two weeks to France/Switz during that time earlier this year and not only is it really expensive but it's also full of kids and families. the French schools have the same break as the English......not that I'm saying you won't have fun, it'll be great!!

Spock540, nope, Glasgow's the place to be on the 3rd as it's my birthday!

I ride a 167, however I am 6'4 and around 84KG so anything smaller would be like riding a match stick  and I still consider myself to be cool....

That's one problem I found on the slopes, Its all about image, you are kinda judged on your ability by what you ride and what you wear. A skier could be in a luminous yellow all in one and a set of retro pink ski's and be xxxxx hot, but will still get laughed at.

A surfer could be in a beaver tailed suit and a wooden longboard from the 60's, but if he rips then he is considered cool. I just don't get it...

1) Pretty sure RJD was taking the piss...

2) Ride in NZ, only the ozzie tourists have the flash gear, and they are the ones that generally get laughed at. Everybody else uses the cheap crap and would think nothing of someone riding in their jeans and an old waterproof. It's a refreshing change from Europe and a country where old tractor engines get recycled into rope tows to get the paupers up the hill for some affordable turns :D

Tell me about it RP. It sucks

And to make it worse most of the people I'm going with are skiers so I may not have people to board with.

Gonna have a second week boarding with my mates at easter time though so shouldn't complain

Haha I had a guy stop the lift right before I could get off because he saw I was leading the annual speedo bathing suit midnight ski race. Can't be worse than that!

Nice! They had a premier in my town that I got a vip ticket to but things went off and I couldn't make it.

I got new skis! (additional, not replacing the pow pow'ers)
