something that has perplexed me

Postby sweatthesalt » Mon Dec 15, 2008 8:05 pm

whenever i watch big wave surfing (Mavericks, Waimea type stuff) the surfers always drop in on eachother. do the rules of the water change when the waves get that big or somethin?? And if they do, that makes no sense because in these type of waves they should be extra careful not to drop in on eachother because in waves this crucial it would be crazy to add more dangers such as the obstacle of someone cutting you off. So whats going on?? This has actually been a question in my head for a while haha

If it 's you and I and a few outhers just surfing then yea for the most part it's one to a wave, most if not all of the mav, ghost tree, etc is under competition so it's a lil more dog eat dog and yes with more shizz being tossed could and does lead to an ouchy, as personal water craft and medical staff well,,, it's there by the butt load even if 5 guys got tossed they would have no problem getting them outta harms way. so it's a lil deceving watching a competition vs surfing, it is not uncommon to have a couple of dudes on the same wave in killer spots though I've seen it manny times.

oh my god.. dude, seriously.

if you have really surfed wimea, then tell me what kind of surfboard you rode and why you rode that board. ill even give you a clue... its got more to do with how the wave breaks that the size. or just admit youre full of it.

I spell odd too.

Usually I'll insult someone's intelligence when I write properly and spell "waimea" right.

Since you have "dominated" surfing why would you even be here?

Even Kala Alexander from Blue crush said I was a ripper

He was the one with the tatoos and blocked for me sometimes

I think words such as "dominated surfing" and the dude from Blue Crush even said he was "charging" was just a bit too much for even the Faf!
