Looking for a easy paddling board

OK, I did some searching on Swaylock's on this paddling speed subject as it relates to shortboards. I found an absolutely fascinating discussion here:

Those Superfish are awesome all rounder boards, I know a few peeps who swear by them. They're greatest feature is uber thickness but with performance rails

It's all down to thickness and rocker dude, my new bonzer which is 6'6"x20"x2 7/8" paddles almost as easily as my mal 8'6"x22 1/4"x 2 3/4", I kid you not. And the mal has lots of girth whereas the bonzer is more refined.
I've come down 2ft and getting on fine.

Like others have said, try a few boards out first. Worth trying out same size boards but in different thicknesses, rockers and planshapes so you can real feel for how this effects the board/paddling.
This is how i tackled it, and from what I learnt got one shaped to my spec.
