Na I would'nt have let go ither unless it is within the imeadiate lift after that,,, HE!! NO I'll hope for the para foil to let me down. Never the less both air current lifts are pritty awsome to watch.

I know one thing. If I was going to have to be strapped to the kite. I would never do this at all. I sure would have let go in a heart beat knowing the kite was pulling me up. That was dangerous. What if he would have landed on a sharp rock... ewwwwww

you cannot let go, you are hooked into the line, once it lifts you up, you have to engage the release(and no, you don't pull a release, you push it out), there is no way to let go once your in the air.
