Anyone been here...?

Postby TheRedDarren » Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:47 pm

Just found this online and really fancy spending new year out there, just need to know has anyone been?
I'm a little dubious about the webby as there's a lot of grammatical and spelling errors!

Yeah looks keenly priced. Would like to go but not pay for the lessons, just the accommodation fro which they don't seem to have a price.

Hi, I'm not sure if you are still looking to go to Portugal.
I don't know anything about Peniche sorry, but I can definitely recommend Algarve Surf School, down in the Sagres/Lagos area.

The beaches around there are great and away from the tourists; not that it will be busy over NYE. I know a few people who are heading there over New Year and they got a cheap deal staying in Lagos.

BTW Apologies if you already know this, am new to the forum so haven't read back too far yet.

I know the guys who ran it and the spelling and grammar mistakes is because they are portuguese locals who really know the place, the waves etc. They are not the typical English or german who set up a camp in Portugal, write perfect English or germain but don't know where to take the surf campers when the wind is from the south and the swell from the west!!!

Also check out the WAVE OF THE DAY and the PAST WAVES. Looks that the place is firing.

When I go to Peniche, Peniche Surf Camp is always with a lot of people, many of them are returners!!
