Trip to Costa Rica

Postby josephsurfer » Wed Nov 19, 2008 6:44 pm

Hi.

Last august i went to Costa Rica, surfed probably the best waves of my life, i just want to tell everybody - if you didn't surf Costa Rica, you defenently have to go... insane barrels, nice long waves, i has all kind of waves, for all tastes...
my best trip ever, and the people from the surf expeditions i went with also told me about Panama, and Nicaragua, both with good surf...
I have to experience it for myself - going next year to panama...

Does no one else think Costa Rica is getting more and more crowded.

Been going since 2003 and the tamarindo crowds are now spilling into Haco and beyond! Too many surf holidays on offer?

Yeah, it gets worse every year. Santa Teresa is just as bad as Tamarindo now and it's spreading up the coast.

You can still find spots that are much less crowded, Nosara, Playa Grande, Camoranal. Not all of costa Rica is like the heavy tourist areas like Tamarindo, Mal Pais or Jaco.
