Oahu surf spots

Postby duhkine » Sun Jan 16, 2005 8:57 am

Im looking for a good surf spot on oahu thats not too crowded but not too big and not territorial near the south shore. Im not sure if ala moana or diamond head are territorial or not but i would like to know. I need to find a new spot besides waikiki because i know that I can do better somewhere else. O ya, it should be a longboardable spot. Thanks. Or if theres any "secret spots" that you would like to share preferably on the south shore,

south shore spots

Hi I live on the east side and go to the south alot. Go to diamond head and go to the far left of the pack. Paddle out through that channel and surf to right or left in bay when big enough. Good longboard waves. I would also try around the corner at cockroach bay on east side (across from sealife park). This is another good longboard spot and breaks far out when bigger as well. This info is for right now, in summer, lots of breaks closer to home for you with south swells. Good luck-drew
