leash question

All surfing hardware topics here. Boards, leashes, racks, wetsuits, boardies, surfgear, ding repair, wetsuit repair, surf wax...... you get the idea

Two suggestions:

1) While in the water adjust you leash at your ankle so that it points out, it will keep from tangling, just make a habit of doing that.

2) Try a thinner leash, the thicker ones float more and get in the way, plus they rebound the board at you less when they are thin

Also, remember that if you go for a smaller size it will leave less distance between you and the board, so more of a chance of your board hitting you.

yea ^^^^ i always point my leash outwards and tuck it under my wettie unless the waters too cold coz u get a bit of flush

Answer: it is a rare occasion when I do this. Normally, I carry the leash loose in big loops. At home, they are suspended in the garage; not coiled. If placed in boxes for travel, they are only loosely coiled. So, count me among those that does not wrap their leash around the tail when they stow away their board.
