I tore a ligament and now my home break is firing more often and better than i've ever seen before

what can you do?

i would probably go watch cos im still picking up as many tips as possible from other people techniques... but then you might not suck half as much as I do.

some ideas from a fellow surfer who can't surf right now!

get someone to drive you to the beach, just to smell the sea (it might cheer you up slightly!) smelling the wax on your surfboard might also do the trick!

photo/video others surfing

watch every surfing DVD ever made, and other stuff. Every episode of Lost back to back will take about 2 weeks (allowing time to sleep and eat in between... I speak from experience!)

use the net to plan your surf trip of a lifetime (to do at some point in the future!) research can be fun!

read some books you've been meaning to read for ages but never got round to.

if all else fails, play some games (on the net if you haven't got a console) or watch random stuff on youtube (it can be highly addictive!)

I know how you're feeling mate, surfs been pumping here for a while but i tore a knee ligament playin footie 2 weeks ago! I'm joining u in the suffering!!
