Ear Infections?

It's not surfer's ear if it hasn't been gradually getting worse for a while. More likely there's an infection in the canal. A liquid antibiotic should clear it right up.

take some ibroprofen (sp?) which will get rid of the pain and help with the swelling. Stick some blutak in your ear - dont use the same stuff again whilst you're poorly.

Go and have a surf and have a great time.

Start the antibiotics on Monday.

I've got an ear infection now

I think I need to get some ear plugs for next time I'm surfing. Any recommendations?

Not as cheap as bluetac or some of the similar options but I hate the feeling when I get water in my ears and I'm really happy with mine.

They are custom fit, which is a slightly strange experience, never had one come out yet, don't expect to hear much in the line up though.
Only have one pair of ears so decided worth the money.

These are preventatives only. If you suspect that you already have an ear infection see your doctor immediately - the sooner the better. If you do have an ear infection, he or she will probably prescribe antibiotics that usually alleviate the symptoms in a couple of days. However, always finish your medication course as half-way can mean a re-infection.

Thanks for the information Miguelitos - However, I don't think we are permitted to advertise on here.
