Paulson has devoted his entire academic career to studying the depression of the 30's. He's clearly sh1tting himself, and prepared to do anything to turn the disaster round, which probably tells you what he thinks is happening.

Not as bad as the US, stock market has done what every other one has, but the banks aren't looking too dodgy yet! Plenty of jobs. The kiwi $ has fallen off a cliff this week, so it will be real cheap for you to visit

I'm living in Queenstown at the moment, plenty of floor space if you do decide to do it, but 3 hours from the nearest wave.

next plan.......let the market find it's own bottom with out politically motivated bail plans.......they apparently don't work.


The market is only reaching for its bottom ahead of the housing crunch...it's nature is to fill the void or remove the fat above the bottom.

Monday will be crucial....we will know if the bottom is here or if there is some more pain to come.

I will be buying some stock next week!!! Best chance of our lifetimes.

I really don't know about any type of bail out plan working or not working. I know something has to be done to where it will not hurt the American people while doing it. I just pray with the new President elect that there will be some changes that will relieve this economic disaster. I know it will take a while before we really see it, I just hope the American people realize that and dont start blasting him out right away because the change has not happened as soon as they expect.

The President holds no power to any bailout plan and are not the responsable level of govt. Congress on the outher hand......
