its been worse... Very strong sets that session so by the 3-4th set wave the returning current was strong, not an issue to get back out :D Plus the river wasn't too high a flow.

Great craic on the boulder reef today.... big tides so took a while to get going but this was showing at low....

It doubled in size as the tide filled in and fun was had by all :)

get out of it lads... not with it camera-wise for evidence but been unemployed for the last 8 weeks and counting so been out everytime theres good conditions, not so far from papa.
sligo coast mainly bit of kerry, and a bit of donegal. hit my first proper reefs literally lol. actually caught a few on one of the more forgiving ones.

for anyone looking to improve they're surfing... just go with the recession you'll come on loads :D out in Strandhill the other day and held my own in the lineup.. did better than most (another first for me). full of confidence. hit easkey right this morning nearing DOH. nearly got on two of em... kicked the cockiness right back out of me.

Got in locally here last 3 days, slowly been building over the time and should be better today peaking for the comp tomorrow :D . Haven't been surfing 3 days in a row for a long time and I've started to dream about surfing again 8), love it when that happens as I can surf in my sleep and I'm sure it helps progression a bit!
Its about 2-3ft now but will build to maybe 6ft later today 8) . Sweet. :D

If Jimi and I werent such useless surf photographers, I could post up a great picture of the gorgeous little bay that we had to ourselves for the whole weekend....

Highlights include...

- Breaking yet another fin.
- Exiting the water rapidly having mistaken a dolphin for a shark (goddam dolphins are supposed to bob up and down, not cruise menacingly)
- Beers and bonfire in the bush by the bay.
- Surfing with dolphins, happy in the knowledge they werent sharks.

The waves were a bit small, but who cares? Great weekend 8) :D
