booties inside or out?

Postby jayarcarlos » Wed Oct 01, 2008 10:08 am

Ok, I was just wondering if booties were supposed to be worn outside of the full suit or tucked under the full suit? When its under it usually stretches the ankle area of my suit and if its outside, water gets inside the bootie. I just want to know what everyone else does.

Gee, tough choice, stretch wettie or cold feet - just remember why you got them in the first place!

Yeah huh. Well it stretches but it seems to go back to its original shape after it dries but over time i'm thinking it'll be more permanent, plus the seams start to come off.

Boots are deffo and inside unless you want to be searching from them then they fly off after filling up.

Some gloves go better inside tho.. depends if they are strapped.

I thought a strapped bootie was something like this one:

anyone notice the inside/inside folks are all here in the uk.........when its cool water surfing, you learn what keeps the heat in pretty quick. on my first uk surf i had boots and gloves on the outside, within an hour i was back in the car!!!

I am going to try some more gauntlet style gloves that are strapped for this season tho, will be interesting to see if I can get away with them outside. would be hella easier to get them off at the end of a sesh
