Wrap up your summer - thank god for winter :-)

Postby isaluteyou » Fri Sep 26, 2008 7:24 pm

As a wrap this summer completely sucked surf wise not a single swell down my area the only time i got any waves was when i travelled to alternative beaches or waited for specific tides to assult the local reefs. But as a wrap i cant remember a worse summer of waves.

All i can say is im ready for colder water less crowds and better surf.

Who else is delighted summer is over

Im sure stoked for less people in the waters and better swell to play with. I like winter surfing.. Also stoked for snowboarding season to start.. hopefully I can get to a mountain of some sorts too.

As much as I love summer... I had a good run this year, Im okay to let go of it. :)

black balls off, crowds are gone. all left is some wave that needs to be ridden. orgasm till the next summer.

if it gets too cold just wear booty or glove.

I'm quite happy paddling out in the warm sun right now as winter loses its icey grip (please note - that was sarcasm) 8)

Winter was fun - consistent swell and offshore winds - but now Im in the mood for boardshorts again :D

I can't agree on the poor summer...we had a great may june...july and aug were a bit slow I will say tho.

I will agree to less crowds of school days, and don't forget about fall....warm off shore days and west mixed with some south...... :D

you should've traveled up the coast a bit........there were some solid 6-8 ft. swells this week and a few weeks ago when hanna came through...clean too not choppy

Its been a bad summer for me.

Broken wrist and then a broken finger has meant i've missed most of what we have had over here.

Bring on them Autumn swells.

How can I prepare for the winter swell? I can already see those huge behemoths in the horizon while I paddle like mad to get over them. I actually want to feel confident on some of those not-too-big winter days and catch a big wave :D .

^ Just gotta get a little Eddie in you......he would go!

You know what you are ready for.......trust yourself and your judgment, make good wave choices on big days.

Keep the stoke.

If booties or gloves are a choice and not a necessity it's not really winter surfing!
