hello!

erm, been reading this forum for a while, so thought i`d best register and so on. rude not to!

I surf (attempt to surf, read surf as dont-get-up-or-if-i-do-i-fall-off-quick) cayton mostly, also longsands and have done a few in cornwall. it`s mint, and maybe one day i won`t embarrass myself quite so much

just found the site, pretty cool. i'm a kayak tour guide and surf instructor on the outer banks. been working down here in the summers for 3 years now, doing the tourist thing for 18 years prior. basically living here full time now, anxiously awaiting the fall swell

Cool site.. Just a surf junkie that was bumpin around the net and found this site.Im an Ex Redondo Beach Californian, Now transplanted here in Rhode Island and always praying for hurricanes. I have been surfing for over 30 years now and still have a passion for it.. my wife thinks im nutz but she says it keeps me young.. anyway... look forward to visiting often..

Well, I'm 36 and have been living in the Florida Panhandle(near Pensacola) for 4 years, and FINALLY decided to park the dirt bike, and pick up a surf board. With the price of fuel, this is a LOT cheaper :lol:

Anywho, I got a 9'2", and took my 10 & 12 year old kids out. It seems that my skateboarding son is a natural. He got up on his first try EVER on a surfboard. I hate him hahaha! My daughter gets up on her knees, still working. I can't even CATCH a wave. We live 5 minutes from our local spot, and I cant get the kids to stop hounding me to go.

Well, just wanted to check in and introduce myself, and I am sure I'll be posting in the future. Take it easy. JL

whats crackin!? name is Dan. been living in Newquay in Cornwall (south west UK) for around 11-12 years now. Finished 1st year of University at Cardiff in Wales and been doing nothing but surfing my new webber semi fish all summer! looking forward to exploring the south welsh coastline from october onwards when i go back to wales - anyone with some local knowledge hit me up!
