skimboard all you like, then wait till you break your arm and twist your ankle.

No offense but I rather fall on the water and get washed up and drown. :P

i've been skimming for a while, fleshin' up my wrists from falling, sprained my ankle a few times, and bruises all over the place, especially my knees.

it's not fun, unless you go with friends and everyone falls.

Use to skim a lot, no shorebreak in daytona though.

Probably the best free skimboarding video out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz-KxuPpJck

Some flatland skim - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIQg-hJyje0

The wedge is really popular for skimboarders too.

Edit2 - Bill Bryan Skimboarding teahupoo haha - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1f4lNOEJ8s @ about 1:40 in.

i chose shells lol
and once your done being a froob you dont fall all that often
and if you do you know how to without injury or much pain

the worst i ever got was a board straight to the jaw when my friend slid out after me on a wave :woot:

I got a victoria ultra. Its really fun being towed behind the boat, and my friend tried it with his kite. I like skimming a lot. Even just catching waves with the surfers is awesome. LIke boogy boaring and eventually you pop up. However i live in munich and there arent any waves. River surfing is what I do here. ANd doing it with a skimboard is real cool, you can do spins and stuff like that and ollie.

I've been skimboarding for 2 years and have just recently gotten a sponsor from my local board shop.

I've never sprained an ankle, sprained a wrist, broken a bone etc. I have gotten some mad sand rash (pretty much equivalent to road rash due to the sand here) and fallen on top of a rail before, but other then that, nothing.

While surfing I've been slashed by my fin, hit by a MASSIVE log that actually made me think I was going to die, been "attacked" by a sea lion (it was curious and hit my board, still friggen terrifying), and been threatened with stabbing from a local at my local break (where apparently I've been longer then him!).

In my personal experience, it seems obvious which one is more dangerous!
