balance help

Postby bringthesurfon » Wed Jul 30, 2008 9:57 pm

I'm still new to surfing and I really could use some help on improving my balance while at home. I started yoga but haven't seen much improvement, though it's only been two weeks. Is there any physical conditioning i could be doing?

nothing does the job quite like actual surfing though....
just remember to get your footing right and stay low, hands by your knees not flailing about throwing you off balance... used to do that a lot when i started..

Keep up with the yoga...its not like lifting weights where you see results clearly. After a while you'll realise your balance has gotten better cause of it...but more so your flexibility...which ends up helping with balance...I find that anyway.
