Possible to switch between short and long

Postby Beachbum » Sat Jul 26, 2008 12:17 pm

Switching between a longboard and shortboard seems to screw me up. I'm not sure how I am nose diving on a longboard but it happens and the feel for it is completely different. Once I get back onto my shortboard, pumping and riding down the face feels like a wet bar of soap.

Is it possible to ride a shortboard and longboard with equal skill? Since it seems very hard.

Yes - owever people tend to favour one or the other. To get really good on a style of board is gonna require a certain amount of dedication

yeah...it is hard to be great at both.
great feeling to change it up, I am a better longboarder, but I love the shortie, and will crack her out every month or so.

I do enjoy the switch, it sharpens your skills to get out of your comfort zone.

One of the locals is NSW state junior longboard champ...
He was out Corrimal last week cranking 360's and ripping, but longboard is in his blood.

Respect.
Good kid.
