Meteorology/Wave Shenanigans: Wana Learn about weather/waves

Postby LOLRuss » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:03 am

Anyone recommend sites/books to learn more about the weather, and waves? I am a computer dork, and I need more knowledge of they meteorology, and waves. I've got these on my amazon wishlist (some are slightly out of date versions because they are cheap used) (and NO, none of these are links that give me loot or something):

The Wetsand Wavecast Guide to Surf Forecasting: A Simple Approach to Planning the Perfect Sessions (Paperback)

Waves and Beaches (Paperback)

Maritime Meteorology (Paperback)

The Atmosphere: An Introduction to Meteorology, Ninth Edition (Hardcover)

And this is one of my local pages...

Bra surf - How to forecast

The basic priniciples will all be the same for you, but remember that the wind will go ANTI-CLOCKWISE around the isobars in the northern hemisphere.
