Pope folding Long boards good/bad????

Postby waterdog62 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 12:41 am

Howdy, being a new surfer, I'm on a long board which is a pain in the ass to carry around. Plus if my boss saw it on top of my car and I left work early, well you know.....Anyway I was wondering about the Pope folding boards, are they good, bad, how do they ride, how reliable are they etc. Anything you know about them will be helpful.
Thanks

just leave it at a mate's house where you can quickly grab it on the way down to the surf :D

Pope Boards

Yes the newer Pope boards are better. Less flex and stronger. If you are looking at buying a used one, make sure it is the newer hardware. These boards are expensive but are good for the occassional surfer. If these boards were great, prosurfers would used them on the tour. Like anything with alot of moving parts, they tend to wear out. I had one a few years back and the locking system ripped out of the glass from wear and tear.
