I got pounded at Sumner today

It was total carnage in the middle of the beach, and got quite sizey, lots of dropins/collisions, so I went out past the jetty to that peak that works there sometimes. As the tide went out it got big - almost DOH - and air drops. Paddled into a couple and got swatted at the bottom, got caught inside, took a couple of sets on the head, got an ice cream headache and a mangina, got a couple of nice lefts then called it a day.

Should have probably gone out at Brighton instead - it was better and more lined up.

damn i wish my local had a pier. Would make it so much easier getting out, plus fun to jump off too i bet!

As you can see in the pics, one guty jumped with hisboard most threw the board down then jumped.
