Well, for the few people who are able to live like that, fantastic....but to my mind it's about a realistic balance, not an "either or" choice....I have to work to eat, pay rent, my bills, AND enjoy the things that I like doing. As long as you are happy doing the job you do, and know that you are able to enjoy yourself outside of that, then that's great. Its working to live, not living to work.

T' grass is always greener brother. I bet the stress involved in organising an event is incredible.

Don't think been a Pro surfer is all it's cracked up to be, especially at the lower end. Most guys have to fund their own flights & trips as alot of the sponsors only give them clothing & equipment. Thats why they are always selling their old boards! Probably quite stressfull on the tour, theres been a few burn-outs in the past! Just look at Occy, although hell of a comeback.

Anyway, I'm lucky enough to work in a surf shop. Get to talk surf all day, meet loads of other surfers & get to play with all the ner gear! Plus can pretty much hop of for a quick surf when it's on :)
