Hey guys,

I recently found this webpage and I think it has the potential to be really cool. I've already made some contributions and thought I'd pass on the information!

ya this site definitely has the potential to be amazing and really helpful. i think it will take off as long as people publicize it and get more people to contribute.

I don't run the site but I am a fan and the guys who do run it are close friends of mine. I really don't see the need to be a jerk off about it. There are lots of posts in these forums about people's personal projects and Surfopedia is about building community, not making money, so I really don't see what the big deal is. There's no trick or scam involved in my post. If you don't want to be a part of it, don't. No need to be rude and sarcastic, though.

I only normally allow this type of self advertising on the forum for members who have paid their dues, and why not if people are willing to contribute they are well entitled to something back.

What I don't like is people coming with the sole purpose of spamming to try and generate visitors. Ok, maybe you don't own the site (and also I had already let this one slide - must have been in a good mood) but please try to keep the advertising to a minimum.

No one wants to see this forum swimming with self advertising spam links.
