i was boogyboardin in san diego once with some friends and had a couple dolphins pop up next to us about 15ft-20ft away. not nearly as close as that dolphin though.

Best I had was surfing in Cornwall (harlyn bay) and a seal popped up about 20ft away :( Then he dissapeared and popped up right next to a lone surfer closer towards the cliff. - the lucky xxxxx.

Driving up the coast this week, I saw hundreds of dolphins jumping out of the water, about 15 metres from the side of the road - I followed them for about a kilometre. Never seen so many before, looked like they were chasing a school of kahawai. I tried to take a picture, but the battery in my camera was flat. The whole sea was just alive with them.

amazin...ive surfed ireland for 5 years and never seen a dolphin..seen baskin shark tho

yeah that looks amazing down in ireland, so cool to have that happen to you. I've never had an experience were dolphins have come up to us. Only once i've seen them fly by in the water,seen plenty at random times from the shore or out in a boat, get seals up here every time you're out almost. Great picture.
